Our Speech-Language therapy services are specialized, personalized and family centered.
An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a speech and language assessment performed by a qualified professional who is not employed by the school district. The purpose of an IEE is to provide an objective opinion and additional expertise to help a student's learning needs.
Independent Educational Evaluations can help determine:
A student's current level of functioning
If a student has hidden deficits
If a student's educational classification needs to change
If a student needs additional services, such as language therapy
If a student might benefit from a specific therapy technique or program
If a student with a severe impairment is a good candidate for a specialized school
Parents and guardians have the right to request an IEE.
